Teaching…

dance in the rainI love getting to meet parents and talk with them about their child…their pride and joy. Parents send their loves to our school every day and they expect us to care for them and teach them at the same time. Sometimes we care more than teach but overall we are there to produce great children and members of society.

I take my job very seriously and I know many teachers do. There obviously are days when we think “why” but we jump right back on the train the next day. Why don’t we quit? A good question asked by many. I believe it’s necessary to have a support system in place so we can work through our rough days. We bring our A game every day but things get in the way…flexibility is the name of the game. We need to be able to ebb and flow as the day goes on.

We need to remember that we are working with kids…they are still learning how to be in this world. We need to teach them along with their parents how to be. We lead by example…we lead by modeling…we lead with our words…we lead with our actions. We need to be the example…
