Well, my name isn’t in lights yet but I’m getting there…
As a little girl I never imagined I would be so passionate about education and be such an outside of the box thinker. I have become more than I thought I would have looking back…
My love of social media began back in April 2014 when I jumped into moderating my district’s Twitter chat, #DubChat. I was in the local newspaper for introducing such a new innovative professional development idea to our district. My superintendent personally delivered a few newspapers to me…thoughtful.

I have been asked my multiple people to give information regarding ELL to include in articles they’re writing but they have not yet been published. I will be sure to place the link in this post when they are published. Through Twitter I have had the opportunity to meet some amazing educators and have been asked to participate in different activities. One such educator turned professional development guru is Randall Sampson. He is the owner and man behind Liberty Leadership Development, LLC which is allowing educators tell their stories via Twitter. I was able to participate in telling my story over a two day period with aggressive tweets to document my activities for the days. I had a blast while obtaining one semester hour of college credit at the same time. I have included the news release mentioning me and I have also included the Storify story that “Tells My Story.” Enjoy!

I am excited to see what the future holds for my career and my passion for education. I am curious to see whose lives I can touch and what impact I may have on others.
