ISTE Day Three…

Another fantastic day of learning and having fun. A bit harder to get out of bed due to my exhaustion but I did muster up enough energy around 9am.

My day began with some yum yums from Panera then a walk over to the Convention Center. My friend Amanda and I walked through the Expo Center (aka Vendors Hall) to pick up some swag. Let me tell you, these companies ask you to do a lot just to get a free pencil. I wasn’t there for the stuff just the info but was disappointed to see that most of the vendors are really there for technology directors or can we say, people with the money to buy things.

One highlight of our time in the vendors hall took place at the STS booth…Show My Homework. We were bound and determined to get one of their lunchboxes and we were told NO. Jokingly of course…We were pleasantly surprised when we learned about the awesomeness of this product. Teachers can assign and share homework and parents can see it all without having to log-in. I believe best feature is located at the bottom of the website…Google Translate button. As an ELL teacher, I know this button is so useful and needed on many sites. Thank you for adding this feature to your website.

Our day ended with much walking and much rain (without an umbrella, of course). More to come…
